Rescheduled Round Robin Game

Last night's game has been rescheduled to:

Tuesday, April 6th @ 8:30 p.m. - KRC Rink Kanata C2 (home) vs. Stittsville C1 (visitor)

The date of the reschedule ice time poses a challenge to the semi final round because the game will have an impact on the standings for the teams advancing to the semi-final round. The top team will not change. Stittsville C2 cannot be caught. They are guaranteed a first place finish in the round robin. The final three spots will be filled by the Kanata teams; C1, C2 and C3. How the Kanata teams finish will be determined by the final game of the round robin. Based on total points, Stittsville C1 will not advance to the semi final round regardless of the results of the final game. However, they can have an impact on how the Kanata teams finish.

The teams earning 1st and 4th place (Stittsville C2 and ?) will play their semi-final game on Wednesday April 7th at 9 p.m., GRC (Goulbourn Rec Centre).

The teams earning 2nd and 3rd place (? and ?) will play on their semi-final game on Sunday April 11th at 7:00 p.m. (Jack Charron Arena).

Scenarios

1. If we win on Tuesday, April 6th, we will finish with five points. A win will earn us second place from the round robin. Kanata C3 will finish third, Kanata C1 will finish fourth. This means we would play on Sunday April 11th.

2. If we tie on Tuesday, April 6th, we will finish with four points. Kanata C3 will finish second based on the tie breaking formula of teams with the most wins in round robin play. We will earn third place from the round robin, based on the tie breaking formula of Goals For/Goals For + Goals Against. This means we would play on Sunday April 11th.

3. If we lose on Tuesday, April 6th, we will finish with three points, and be in fourth place. The standings will not change from the current standings. We would then play Stittsville C2 on Wednesday April 7th.
